Creating Abundance – Taking The First Step

The first step to creating abundance is to jump out of your comfort zone. But many of us never achieve abundance because we have a scarcity mindset – we have too much fear to step out and go for it.

For example, answer these questions honestly.

  • How many times have you given up when faced with a seemingly difficult obstacle?
  • How many times have you given up on our passions simply because you didn’t try?
  • How often do you look back at what you could’ve done, should’ve done?

Most of us will never know because we gave up too early – we retreat back into our comfort zone when the going gets tough.  The moment you give up, you lose the chance to make it in the first place. You’ll never know whether or not you might’ve succeeded.

Every day I run into people that are not living an abundant life, they are not enjoying what they are doing, and not living to their true potential.  Go to the mall, just look in people’s eyes, there is an emptiness and sadness there. Even at home people are not enjoying what it feels like to be alive, to do what they were put on this earth to do.  This is because they are living with a mindset of scarcity as opposed to one of abundance.

The great thing is we can turn this scarcity mindset around.  Each of us need to wake up to the simple fact –

  • You CAN create abundance, you CAN be who you want to be, you CAN create the life you love.
  • You already have everything you need inside yourself to succeed with reaching your goals.
  • You just need to believe in yourself, harness some courage, and take that Jump.

In fact, the only thing we can do is believe in ourselves and our own abilities. We have to believe, for the sake of what we’re passionate about, that we can push forward and overcome our obstacles. Get excited for the obstacles we face today for they are building blocks towards tomorrow’s success. From overcoming these obstacles, we gain perspective, perspective into building a better future for ourselves, perspective into creating a more abundant life and a better story to tell.

You live in abundance when you find your passion, your gift. But understand this…you don’t have to love what you do. Just be passionate about the opportunity, the problem that you’re solving, why you’re solving it, and the potential of the solution.

“For example, my personal passion is being a freedom entrepreneur. I don’t love all the things I have to do to achieve this goal.  I know that to build a freedom lifestyle business, you need to be in it for the long haul and if you’re not passionate about your goals, who you want to become, your life direction, you’ll give up for all the wrong reasons” – Doug Howorko

Hi friends its Doug Howorko here Co-Founder of ZAGGTIME-Freedom Lifestyle Design.  And it’s another edition of our WAKE UP Wednesday Video Blog.  Today’s video blog addresses the first step to creating abundance – jump out of your comfort zone

The purpose of our video blog is to inspire and add value to your world – help Wake Up the entrepreneurial potential that lies within you, and help you start to design the business and life you love.  Just as my-self and my Co-Founding partner George Tsougrianis are doing with our lives.  We continuously seek to personally transform each day by simply becoming better than we were yesterday.  We have chosen to create abundance in our lives by jumping out of our comfort zone.

Do Yourself a Favor and Jump out of you Comfort Zone

The First step to creating abundance comes from jumping out of your comfort zone and creating the experiences which makes life worth living. When you take that jump to live abundantly, you inspire others to live abundantly.  There’s no higher purpose you could possibly have in this world than inspiring yourself and someone else.

“Don’t ask yourself what the world needs; ask yourself what makes you come alive.  And then go and do that.  Because what the world needs is people who have come alive.” – Howard Thurman.

If reading this quotation inspires and ignites your inner passion, you must take the chance and jump out of your comfort zone and do what you are passionate about…discover your gift!  If you want to have something you never had, you have to do something you have never done and you have to become someone you have never been.  And the first step to creating abundance in your life is to jump out of your comfort zone.  In fact the quality of your life (your abundance) is commensurate to the amount of uncomfortableness you can tolerate!

Every time you jump out of your comfort zone you become more alive, you begin to:

  • Find and live your passion and use your gifts to your advantage and experience life to the fullest.
  • You start abandoning the fear of failure, while at the same time embracing change and harnessing the power of courage, confidence, vision, belief, and action.
  • You become more and more alive, waking up early each morning full of excitement and staying up late with enthusiasm doing what you love to do – experiencing life to the fullest.
  • You truly become a magnet attracting people, opportunities and resources in your life to help you design the life you love.

To further make my point, I was personally inspired by a recent speech made by Steve Harvey the entertainer.  Steve’s speech coincides with Howard Thurman’s quote above…that is, take that chance (JUMP), get out of your comfort zone and come alive!  This is where the sweet spice of life is, outside of your comfort zone.
